It's Party Time!

Well, here is the 3rd post to wrap up Allie's Birthday Fun! Allie decided to have a lady bug birthday party. She had 11 of her closet friends at the house to help her celebrate! Plus, Granny and Papa came to the party too. (well, they were helping with Hunter, Sky and the party!). All the kids had an awesome time, even though it poured down rain, which prompted our bug hunt to be inside and not out, but oh well, kids still loved it! After our bug hunt, the kids made a bug picture frame, followed by pizza, cake, presents and lots of play! It was an awesome day!

It's was a fantastic day! Thanks for the shirt Mimi! And thanks to Molly for taking ALL the terrific birthday pictures!

Happy 5th Birthday!!!

April 13th 2006, Allie Marie Tydlacka was born. April 13, 2011, we celebrated her 5th birthday. Brian and I are wondering how she has grown up so fast.

Allie woke up on the 13th and came into our room as always. Normally she gets into bed with us and wants a show and milk ASAP! Instead of asking for these things right away Brian and I each got BIG hugs and kisses! Now that's a way to start a birthday morning! We came downstairs right away to see Sky and open presents.

We had a good morning roller skating around the house, then getting ready for Gymnastics. Allie had a Super Hero birthday cake. Since she had thought of having a Superhero birthday party, and then choose something different, I thought a little superhero cake on her actual birthday was good.

Later we went to Chili's for dinner. (her favorite adult restaurant!) Allie had a great day, and it was so nice to spend it all together.

It's a little early...SURPRISE

Allie has been asking us for over a year now for a dog. I feel like she started asking us while I was pregnant with Hunter, and my answer was let us have a little brother first. So, a few months ago, Allie started asking us again for a dog. She really wanted one for her birthday. I would tell her that we had to find the "right" dog for our family, that and it might not be "ON" her birthday. Her reply, "it's okay, you can get it before my birthday!" So, about 2 weeks or so before her birthday she said: "Mommy, are you getting me a dog for my birthday? You haven't said yes, and you haven't said no yet, so which is it?" I really started to give it some thought. I knew it was going to be work, and I also knew how much Allie wanted a dog and that we did want one eventually for the kids. So, why not!

I found an ad for Lab Puppies and off we went the Saturday before Allie's birthday to get one. Allie had no idea where we were going after her soccer that cool, dreary Saturday morning. We had to drive about 1 hr. 15 min. to pick up the puppy. Allie got out of the car, and we asked her what was one thing she had been asking for, for her birthday? The said so quietly, a dog. Then the man showed her 6 of the cutest black lab puppies! She was so excited. One little girl kept following Allie around, that she is the one we choose. Allie could not have been happier! Allie said there was blue on her nose when we got her (like she had been digging in something), and so I thought of the name Sky, and she liked it. We went back and forth on names she also liked, but she always went back to Sky. So, that's how our little pup got her name.

Sandals, Sun, and lots of Rum!

Brian and I just got back from a relaxing, wonderful trip to Jamaica. We went with our great friends Molly and Justin for some R&R. Now, I've was really looking forward to this trip, and dreading it at the same time because of leaving Allie and Hunter.

Mimi (Brian's mom) came from Florida to keep the kids while we were gone. Allie was so excited to spend the week with Mimi. She had lots of plans for the 2 of them. I didn't know how Hunter was going to be. He hadn't seen Mimi since he was 4 months, but I guess the little guy knows his grandma, because he crawled right up to her! Now, this calmed my nerves about leaving my little guy. The kids were great while we were away. I asked Allie what was her favorite thing she did while Mimi was here: Allie's response: Well, I really liked the model magic (kind of like playing play-doh), but what I liked most of all, was when Hunter napped and Mimi and I played! Thanks Mimi for watching our babies!

Now...onto our trip!

So, we were off to Jamaica, but of course not without me having some type of sickness. Two days before we left I went to the doctor because my ear ached, and sure enough at the age of 33, I had double ear infections. Ugh. But with antibiotics, and decongestant, Brian and I were off to Jamaica, with my ears going crazy on the plane and all!

We stayed at a Sandals resort in Ocho Rios. Tuesday was a day of travel. Wednesday we relaxed by the beach, and swim up bar at the pool and drank lots of tropical drinks.

Thursday, we took a 1/2 day excursion tubing down the river and to Dunn's WaterFall. Both trips were really fun. Tubing was relaxing, just floating down the river, and then we went for a little adventure...walking up the waterfall. Pretty cool!

What I did after my days adventure!

Friday, was a morning at the spa for me, while Brian hung out on the beach, then lounging and drinking the rest of the day. Such a super relaxing trip!

The guys loved the floats at the pool

Saturday evening, when we returned Allie greeted us with the biggest hugs ever! She was excited beyond words to see us. Hunter was already in bed, but the 1st peep I heard from him Sunday morning, I was at his bed giving him lots of loves.
