AND More Uncles!

It's been a busy August with visits from Uncle Marshall and family, Uncle Alan and family, and this past weekend Uncle Joey and Kate (his girlfriend) came to visit! Wow! Lots of Uncles coming and going! Allie always has so much fun with Uncle Joey. It's so funny to think that just a short 2 years ago, she wanted nothing to do with him, and would actually cover her eyes, if she had to walk past him. My, how times have changed. :) Allie really didn't leave Joey or Kate alone all weekend. They were good sports about it, and played and played with her. They both also met Hunter for the first time. We had lots of fun, grilling out, going to the Reston Zoo, playing the backyard and much more. Joey and Kate even babysat (well, the kids were in bed, but still) so that Brian and I could go out to the movies. That was wonderful. Here are a few pictures from their visit.

Allie would only feed the baby pig!

One of Allie's favorite animals is the Zebra.

I think this is the cutest Zebra ever! She wants to be one for Halloween! Allie says we should get a white shirt and pants and paint black stripes on them. Let's see if this idea sticks in another 2 months.

Uncle Joey and Kate with a "Joey" Kangaroo. The rest of Uncle Joey's visit, Allie referred to him as "hey, kangaroo", if Joey didn't answer her right away!

Allie and Joey! Look at those dark eyes they both have.

A growing boy!

Hunter had his 2 month well check today.

His weight 13.7 lbs. (90%)
His height 23. 1/4 (60%)
His head 15 1/2 (45%)

As you can see he's a growing boy! I guess with drinking 6 oz. bottles every few hours, it shouldn't be a shock that he's in the 90% for weight! He had 3 shots and an oral vaccine. He took them all like a champ, and by the time we had left, no tears.

He has started to really smile at us. Allie loves to get him to smile and kisses his cheeks all the time. He's also started to make those adorable coo's! So sweet! He's been sleeping great at night, usually 8-8 1/2 hr. stretches. He's learning to take naps in his crib. Next appt. is in Oct....wonder what he will weigh then! We do love chunky babies. :)

Uncles and More Uncles

The past few weeks we have had lots of family visiting. First my brother Marshall and his family came up from Richmond to meet Hunter. He was a big hit with Aunt Jane, who even feed and changed his diapers while here! Allie of course was totally into her cousin Omri. They played and tickled and even got cousin Galen in the mix. Allie was too busy playing to stop for pictures, but I did get some of Hunter with the family. Hopefully soon, we will head to Richmond were Allie can have her sleep over with cousin Omri!

Next, Uncle Alan, Aunt Tracy and cousin Nikki came for a visit from Maine! That's right, all the way from Maine. The 3 of them haven't visited VA since we got married 8 years ago. We loved having them here.

No visit is ever complete without a trip to Chuck E Cheese!
